Advantages and Disadvantages of Litotomi

Litotomi is the position of lying down when delivering a baby. Litotomi position is the most common delivery position in almost all countries around the world. Pregnant women were asked on her back with her legs hanging on a special support for maternity.
Advantages
Psychologically, the choice of birth position is common in ground water makes the mother feel more secure because that is the perception of labor’s position is like that. This position also makes physicians freely to help the delivery process because the birth canal facing forward. Doctors or midwives more easily measure the development of the opening so that labor can be predicted more accurately. 1. Half Sit

1. Standing / Half squat.
